Sometimes, if the bowline knot will rub on the ground or another surface, you
need to secure it.
The bowline with a backup knot is much more effective than the half hitches
that are sometimes added.

1 and 2 - After coming back through the knot, insert the tag end, which was left a little bit long, inside the
