1994. He also holds a Master of Science in aerospace systems management from the University of Southern California (1974). Prior to that, Mr. Wilkening studied agriculture business and operations at Iowa State University (1962-63).
After retiring from the Navy, Mr. Wilkening shifted his focus to investigate the application of aerospace systems management principles to other non- aerospace systems disciplines and fields, particularly
real estate. Today, he excels as the chief executive officer of Wilkening Rental Properties, LLC. He oversees the daily operations of his business that prides itself in its ability to provide high-quality affordable housing to residents in the Washington D.C. suburban Alexandria area.
Looking toward the future, Mr. Wilkening plans to continue growing assets, and increasing productivity and efficiency. The most gratifying aspect of his career has been owning and managing the real estate business he has built up today.
