Produced in Portland, USA the Purdy collection comprises seven series
of brushes. Each is dedicated to a particular aspect of painting and designed to produce optimum results for any task, irrespective of finish, surface and application – from broad wall painting to corners, trims, cut-ins, mouldings and ceilings.
The seven Purdy Series – Clearcut
Elite, Pro-Extra, Clearcut, Syntox,
XL, XL High Capacity and Nylox – are designed to suit a particular project need as well as an individual’s painting style and preferred grip. Purdy has ensured there is a tailor made solution for every task with an easy to identify brush for each. Handles come in a choice of shapes and fit and are crafted from genuine Alderwood.
Wall brushes, designed for longer strokes, feature thicker bristles or filaments to hold more paint and cover a greater surface area while trim brushes, designed for shorter
strokes, are designed for more control and hold less paint.
The newest brush to the collection is the XL High Capacity, a medium stiff, angled sash style that is excellent for cut-in tasks. It has a beavertail handle and produces 94% more coverage than the XL Glide brush.
The Purdy XL Series is the most versatile of the ranges, crafted for increased pick-up, smooth
release and an outstanding finish.
The Clearcut Elite Series is an ultra
stiff brush designed for low-VOC and water-based coatings and is perfect for precision work around mouldings, trims, corners and ceilings.
Pro Extra Series is a stiff brush design suitable for all paints and primers – these brushes hold more paint and feature flagged and tipped filaments to ensure no brush marks.
Purdy hand made professional paint brushes come in a range of sizes from 38mm and 50mm to 63mm,
76mm and 100mm.
The Purdy brand will be seen throughout the ANZ market in full force! The extensive
paintbrush range of 51 items is complemented by a
full range of 33 preparation tools, trays and buckets. A collection of more than 30 roller types will be introduced in the next few months.
