Crowning of Champions
As you sit there on your recliner reading this, you should already have your plans made for Ft. Worth, TX, March 12-14, 2021. Plane tickets and hotel rooms booked. How many times have you al- ready packed and repacked your steak toolbox? Golden Ticket in hand so you can post pictures on social media as you prepare for a run at the championship. You have earned your spot, paving the way for you to compete. You’ve won a contest at least once over the past year, so, your chance at walking away as the 2021 World Champion is as good as the person next to you.
Just thinking about the event has one reminiscing about the last time we all gathered in Ft. Worth where Matt Ouverson was World Points Champion. We also watched Robby Staggs cook the best steak he’s ever cooked to walk away as World Champion. We laughed as we watched a Whataburger eating contest. We scram- bled to catch the prizes Brett, with his team, threw out with is giant slingshot. Word has it, this is coming back bigger and better than ever. Although, we’ve not been together since 2019, this year will make up for it as we once again Crown some Champions.
