BBQ HERO TRIBUTES
OperationBBQRelief.org
Update from Stan Hays, CEO and Co-Founder https://operationbbqrelief.org
We have had a very busy week. The Operation Restaurant Relief (ORR) program has launched in new states and has proven to be an effective vehicle to provide meals to communities in need and support the restaurant industry. The program is giving restaurants a lifeline, hiring back or maintaining staff on payroll, and serving approximately 2,500 meals a day at each restaurant. We are projecting to provide over 200,000 meals this week in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The pandemic has created a new level of uncertainty that our country and economy have never experienced before. We are in conversations with supporters, sponsors, and government entities to provide addi- tional meals and add restaurant relief partners throughout the country.
This week I had the chance to pass out meals to families in the Kansas City area and have conversations with restaurant owners who have had to close their doors indefinitely. These are difficult conversations and your support has allowed Operation BBQ Relief to provide hope and compassion to families, restaurants, healthcare workers, veterans, the homeless and numerous organizations during this challenging pan- demic.
We are in need of additional funding as Operation BBQ Relief responds to the pandemic. Please reach out to us at info@obr.org if you have any suggestions for financial support and partners as we continue to pro- vide the one hot meal that matters.
Thank you for your continued support.
