Wood pellets are fast becoming a favorite option of fuel sources for
backyard BBQ to champion pit masters. B&B pellets o昀er a very clean, ecient, and versatile way to enhance that great smoky 昀avor from natural wood.
Cooking with B&B pellets also means easier-to-maintain tempera- tures, which is critical to successful low and slow cooking sessions.

Flavor Pro昀les of B&B Wood Pellets
Wood pellets for outdoor cooking can be found in several different fla- vors. Each variation has a different flavor intensity and pairs well with some meats or vegetables more than others.
◆ Mesquite - Often a favorite of Texas-style barbecue purists, this is going to be the strongest flavor. Mesquite produces an intense aroma and a more savory, spicy flavor. This type of wood pairs well with beef and other strong-flavored meats.
◆ Hickory - This is also going to be a richer, stronger flavor but not as strong as mesquite. This savory flavor pairs well with many different types of meat.
◆ Pecan - Pecan wood has a fairly robust flavor that is smoother com- pared to mesquite and hickory. It does pair well with chicken and pork. ◆ Maple - This wood flavor has a milder, smoother flavor that many outdoor cookers also pair with pork.
◆ Post Oak - This wood is medium flavored and very versatile. It pairs well with most meat but especially brisket. It is also a very stable-burn- ing wood.
◆ Apple - Out of all the fruit woods, Apple will provide a stronger, sweeter flavor. This wood pairs well with pork and chicken.
◆ Cherry - A milder fruitwood, Cherry will also give you a slightly sweet flavor. This wood also pairs very well with pork and chicken. It can improve the appearance of your meat by adding a slight red tint to the finished meal.

The 100% wood material is pressurized, compressed down, and held together by the lignin within the wood, an all-natural binding agent. It’s made into long, thick rods that are broken into smaller pieces. B&B wood pellets are about a half-inch to one inch long so they will run better through the auger system in your pellet grill.
