Construction Project
Insurance companies are just as anxious as consumers to understand smart technologies and how they impact risk and claims. So much so that they even built
their own “smart homes”.
More than 350 employee volunteers at American Modern Insurance
Group have completed construc on of the two- story “LivingWise” smart home inside its training center in Amelia, OH.
The home features a smart thermostat, key-less entry doorways, water sensors, and carbon monoxide/smoke detectors. In addi on, remote control shades or blinds automa cally con gure on a schedule to help you save energy. Back-splash Display Screens allow you to watch cooking shows, look up recipes, or even take a video call. Robot vacuums to set and go when you program them. Water leaks and mold sensors u lize your home’s copper wiring to send you alerts about leaks and mold.
