Helping rebuilding and habilitation of " Central Mosul Library" and " Mosul
University Library "
A group of prominent Iraqi Australian academics are embarking on a project to re-establish
the library of the University of Mosul in Iraq after the terror groups of ‘Daesh’ ransacked the
university and burned the manuscripts and expel books.
When ISIS (Daesh),and its allies of other terrorist groups, had captured Mosul and more than
40% of Iraq area they committed wide scale of atrocities with thousands of killed and injured
innocents victims from all sects of society and destruction of infrastructure and
establishments .In this tsunami of destruction and barbaric wave of illiteracy ISIS targeted the
very basic foundation of life including symbols and traces of Iraq historical civilization ,
cultural and scientific institutes and establishments.
One of the most valuable institutions ISIS turned into ruins the renounced " Central Library
of Mosul" and " Mosul University Library" with thousands of manuscripts and expel books.
The Australian Iraqi Academic Society is appealing to your respected university / institution

University Library" and help restoring high education system in Mosul city. Assistant can be
