The Chinese New Year was still being celebrated, and at nine o'clock a huge display of impressive fireworks took place across the harbour from Te Papa Museum.
On arrival at the museum I introduced myself to the Te Papa hosts who all knew and sent their warmest wishes to Catherine, our Conservation Assistant at Nuffield Place.
Once again my volunteering life had connections to New Zealand.
