A very long five and half hour drive took us from Napier to Wellington where we found the quirky QT Museum with its individual art works. It was ideally located just across the road from the Te Papa Museum.
We soon settled in and found a lively place to dine at The Fish Shack on the steep walk down from Mount Victoria. We discovered, like elsewhere on the island, that Scotland had come to the capital with our Edinburgh barman. Far below the Interislander ferry we would be taking the next day was leaving port
