Skinner Box






                       On 1948, ‘Skinner Box’ was invented by Skinner himself for him to conduct

                       an experiment using animals similar as Thorndike’s puzzle box.




























                                                     Responses from the environment that neither increase nor decrease
                             Neutral Operants
                                                     the probability of a behavior being repeated.


                                                     Responses from the environment that increase the probability of a
                                Reinforcers          behavior being repeated. Reinforcers can be either positive or
                                                     negative.


                                                     Responses from the environment that decrease the likelihood of a
                                Punishers
                                                     behavior being repeated. Punishment weakens behavior.
