Just prior to giving Moses the Ten
Commandments, God made the state-
ment, "I am the Lord you God, who
brought you out of the land of Egypt, out
of the house of bondage." For
many...even professing Christians...the
place they're at appears to be "all nice
and comfy, and there doesn't seem to be
any need to leave." The truth of the mat-
ter is that they're living in a place of dark-
ness. And all the while the Lord is stand-
ing outside the jail cell, wanting to take
them "out of the land of Egypt, out of the
house of bondage." One day time will
run out. The cell door will slam shut.
And suddenly...too late.

Lord, thank You for Your invitation
to snatch us out of the power of dark-
ness. Thank You for stretching forth
Your mighty hand to take us out of the
cell the devil has us in and place us in
Your wonderful presence. I accept Your
offer...I take Your hand...and I praise
