LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT
Greetings Friends and Colleagues! Welcome to the 43rd Annual Rocky Mountain Emmy® Awards!

AS I AM SURE YOU NOTICED, THIS YEAR IS DIFFERENT IN MANY WAYS. The good news is that Theresa Maher has returned this year as our Event Chair and Mark Reda has returned as our Awards Chair with the help of Donna Rossi as Vice-Chair. All the work for this event is accomplished throughout the year by committees, the Board of Governors and our one-of-a- kind Executive Director, Lara Gates. None of what you will see and experience would be possible without the hard work and dedication of the event team and board, which have been chosen by members of our chapter to lead this great organization.
In addition to this evening’s events and the process leading up to them, one of our other priorities is to ensure we have a diverse group of board members, inclusive of other markets outside of the Greater Phoenix area, as well as from all corners of our industry and craft. We continue to stand by those in our community, in unity with the rest of America and the world, who are peacefully using their voices to empower
the voiceless and support liberty and justice for all. As always, we support journalists who are doing their jobs to the best of their abilities during these recent, historically challenging conditions.
Another priority is to continue focusing on our students through educational programs, scholarships and the Student Production Awards. When you have an opportunity, check out some of our student and other resources on our new and improved website at www.rockymountainemmy.org.
In closing, we remember and pay tribute to all the members of our community that we lost this year, along with their families, friends and loved ones.
On behalf of the entire Rocky Mountain Southwest Chapter and your Board of Governors, we would like to congratulate all of our nominees, recipients and honorees.
