The solution
1. Turn on Show/Hide which is in the paragraph group.
2. Check for any URL which appears as a separate paragraph. Delete the Enter which
is separating it from its reference.
3. Delete the unnecessary Enters against the left margin that are forming blank lines.
4. Delete the quotation mark at the beginning of any reference that has this.
5. Sort the list into Ascending order. Click on the Sort button to open the Sort Text
dialogue box:
a) First, ensure that Sort by is set to Paragraphs.
b) Secondly, ensure that the next box has Text in it.
c) Thirdly, select whether to sort in Ascending (A to Z) or in Descending (Z to
A) order.
d) Lastly, click in the radio button next to Header row button if your selection
includes text which needs to stay at the top as a heading, e.g., the heading,
References.
