Garage door springs, cables, and other hardware attached to the springs are under very high tension and, if handled improperly, can cause serious injury.
Only a qualified professional or a mechanically experienced person carefully following the manufacturer’s instructions should replace or install springs or cables.
Damage to property can occur if not using the correct tools and without following proper procedures.
Never attempt to weld a broken spring.
Garage door openers must have all safety features in working order, installed and adjusted to the manufacturer’s guidelines.
A few simple precautions can protect your family and friends from potential harm.
