photography of Galveston beaches. René Wiley Gallery is a
family owned and operated art gallery that represents award-
winning oil painters René Wiley and her daughters Rachel
Wiley-Janota and Samantha Wiley. The gallery also features
fabric mosaics by Brenda Bunten-Schloesser, tree sculptures
from James D. Phillips, wooden bowls by Dale hooks, and glass
sculptures by Bill Meek. Both originals and fine art prints are
available, as well as paid parking and discounts for previous
collectors and interior designers.

Always interested in the painting birds, painter and gallery
owner Gayle Reynolds is again focusing on creating more
works featuring them for her new exhibition of oil paintings
about spoonbills and other birds titled One the Road Again.
Of course, palm trees continue to appeal to her and she will
“St. Josephs Light” by René Wiley also be exhibiting a new large painting of a palm tree during
the March 9 ArtWalk. Rex Reynolds continues building his
fabulous Adirondack tallboys, and many will be on display in
the gallery along with one dory, the “South Deer island Dory
Skiff,” which is his fifth dory of the seven he has built. visitors
are encouraged to have a seat in one of the tallboys that are
available for purchase in a variety of colors, and to enjoy the
work of all the featured artists. Pottery is by Madeleine Baker,
bronze sculptures are by Pat Moberley Moore, and primitive
necklaces are by Chase Jennings. This gallery is open Thursdays,
fridays, and Saturdays at 11am, however Rex Reynolds is
usually in early working on Saturday and Sunday mornings.

on Canvas. This gallery houses the visually stunning works of
Robert Peterson, whose newest collection of original paintings
continues his masterful portrayal of the island environment
with vivid colors and a relaxing comfort that have become his
trademarks. Robert invites everyone to drop by the gallery
during the next ArtWalk on March 9 to view his new creations.
Along with the original works for sale, reproductions of his
works are available in canvas giclées, cards, paper prints,
one-of-a-kind ceramic tiles, and now mermaid and baby
