to contain the spread of
COVID-19, especially in densely
populated areas. The guidelines
were created specifically for
areas where toilets, washing,
or bathing facilities are shared.
The guidelines emphasised the
need to ensure that authorities,
volunteers, and communities
co-manage these solutions to
ensure sustainability. They also highlighted the need for full cooperation and respect for all frontline workers and sanitation staff who play a critical role in ensuring its containment.
