We apologise to Daryl Girdler, President of the Showmen’s Guild of South Australia for the mistake and didn’t not realise the error until after the magazine went to print.

A big hello to all showmen, show societies and friends of our industry,
As the shows and festivals begin to start up again as we begin to emerge from the covid-19 pandemic .
From all reports the work we have been trading at has been well received by the show going public. It’s easy to forget how lucky we really are living in Australia when you look at how badly affected some regions of the world are, still suffering from covid-19 as the pandemic has not been managed well.
The insurance crisis has escalated to the point where insurance is no longer being written for anything at all and most of our members are now facing the prospect of no income until the insurance is being offered once again.
AALARA and a group of showmen driven by Lew Osborne have taken up the challenge and are working hard to achieve a good result so hopefully in the near future we can put this situation behind us. In closing I wish all those that are able to safe prosperous trading,
