The Wall of Silence

                    -Avinash A. (G. Hunt)

On went with our walk of eternity,
Together, to stay, we have thought, Through all this time we found no pity.

Times have passed, we have fought. The Wall of Silence asked us why,
The wall of silence, unseen it was, To save your friendship, did we not try.
Breaking bonds for no good cause.

Sounds, we thought, we heard of a friend,
Tethered, we are, now to stay, As we walked to darkness’s end.

Words unsaid, I regret to this day. The Wall of Silence: ‘chant my name, I ask of
The Wall of Silence grew to the sky. thee’,
Words fell back now, going not high. “The Wall of Silence,” meekly said we times

                                                                three.
Behind, a sound prayed to look.

Barren Lands! Our hearts shook. Down we fell and kissed the sand,
The Wall of Silence devoured the light, Bleakly our eyes looked for a helpful hand.
The sun, it seized, leaving only night. The Wall of Silence was still in sight.

Sad it looked to see us in flight.
In darkness, crippled we were, to the

ground, “Is this death,” pondered we,
Even in the depths of the heart, hope “If so, will I finally be free.”
was not found. “The Wall is Silence,” we chanted hence.

The Wall of Silence, stood straight and “The Wall of Silence, the wall of silence.”
             strong,

Proud, it seemed, to see us in wrong.

Damned, we were to this barren lands.

With no sight or sound, we walked the
             sands.

The Wall of Silence stayed on our backs,
To prey upon us, upon death, like a fox.
