How to Use This Catalog
This digital catalog allows you to easily access information from
Catalog 4800 directly from any device that reads a PDF file. It is
best viewed using the Adobe Reader . Other readers may function

differently or not show the pages properly.
Here are some tips to make navigating through your catalog in Adobe Reader easier. These illustrations apply
®
®
specifically to Reader for PCs. Although the functionality is the same, the screen layout and icons may look
®
differently on Macintosh computers.
Bookmarks: At the left you’ll find the bookmarks panel. It will be visible everytime you open the catalog and we
recommend keeping it open. It allows you to easily jump to Parker websites, the Safety Guide, Table of Contents,
Indices and each section of the catalog. Simply click on any text and you will immediately be taken to that
location.
If you want to close the bookmarks panel to provide more viewing area on your screen, click on the small
triangle in the upper right of the panel.
To expand the panel after closing it, click
on the bookmarks icon in the left margin.
Links: There is a great deal of text within the catalog that has been linked to whatever the text references.
Linked text is blue. Simply click on any blue text to be taken to the link.
Back Button: There is a “Back” button on every page located in the top left corner. Clicking this
button takes you to the page you were most recently viewing. For example, if you clicked a link that
took you from page 52 to page 98, clicking the Back button will return you to page 52. Continuing to click the
Back button will take you to previous pages until you reach the opening page.

Search Feature: Adobe Reader has a powerful search function built into it. You can access this through the

®
Edit menu. You may also have a “Find” box in your top toolbar. It looks like this:
Type in what you are looking for and Reader will find every incidence of the word or words.

Page Up, Page Down: Of course you can page through the catalog using your Page Up and Page Down keys
or simply scroll.
