A pressure protection valve is used to protect the system air supply from
dropping below the minimum opening pressure of the valve due to air loss
from downstream applications. A typical application would be in an air brake
system to protect a reservoir by closing automatically when a reservoir system
failure occurs.

OPERATION
The valve is typically mounted to the tank via the inlet port. The dual pressure

The pressure protection valve is a normally closed pressure-control valve.
When supply air is greater than the set pressure, the valve opens and supplies
