As president of Discount Marketing Products, Inc., Dalan Cohen strives to create the promotional
industry’s best solutions that help distributors add value back to their clients’ businesses.

Born and raised in South Africa, Dalan earned a Master’s degree before heading to London to work
in the construction industry. In 2002, he moved to Atlanta with the goals of identifying a market
opportunity, starting a successful business and becoming a U.S. citizen.

Once Dalan arrived in America, he noticed that unique event display banners (such as teardrop
banners) had not made their way into the U.S. It was this detail that helped launch a business to
import this unique product line from South Africa. Once his company saw growth in demand for this
effective signage, Dalan founded Discount Marketing Products, Inc. in 2012.
Before long, Discount Marketing Products expanded its growth to working with resources overseas
and earned a solid reputation as a service-oriented provider of marketing solutions for the distributor
channel. The company’s product offering grew beyond teardrop banners to include custom table
covers, trade show kits and a variety of other display materials.
