Breast feeding moms gather to encourage and support each other while a certified Lacta- tion Consultant is on hand to provide help and information.
Literacy through Play ~ Fridays 9:30-11:00 AM
A Family Literacy Playroom for caregivers and children birth to age 5. Activities are designed for parent and child to do together.

East Side Drop-In ~ Wednesdays, 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM
This drop-in is for families living on the east side of Lakewood and features activ- ities and centers for caregivers and children birth to age 5.

Join the Lakewood Family Room at Kaufmann Park for outdoor fun! Bring a ride on toy to cruise the walking path, balls to play with in the large grassy areas, or just explore the playground. We’ll have snacks and a few items to share. All ages welcome!
Thursdays @ Madison Park ~ 9:30 to 11:30 AM
Join us for art exploration, play dough, chalk, balls, and more centered around weekly
themes. Coffee provided for adults and snacks for children. All ages welcome! In the pavil- ion next to the playground.

H2O, the “Help to Others” program is open to high school and middle school youth participation. It is a collaborative effort of the City of Lake- wood’s Department of Human Services, the Lakewood City Schools, lo- cal and county-wide agencies and organizations, community supporters, sponsors, and the amazing youth of Lakewood.
H2O connects Lakewood youth with volunteer opportunities to develop a strong desire to SERVE the community. Nurtured by a culture of kind- ness, they LEARN valuable skills while helping others. They GROW into more engaged citizens empowered to make an impact in the world.

Pavilions at Lakewood Park
The Woman’s Club Pavilion-an enclosed year round facility available to rent for meetings, receptions or any occasion. The Kiwanis Pavilion-an open air pavilion which can be reserved from May through October. Reservations for the Kiwanis Pavilion can be made after March 1st. Are you an adult age 55 or older with an ongoing or long-term health condition? If you or someone you know has a chronic disease, join a FREE Chronic Self-Management Series. You’ll get the support you need, find practical ways to deal with pain and fatigue, discover better nutrition and exercise choices, understand new treatment choices, and learn better waystotalkwithyourdoctorandfamilyaboutyourhealth.
