ESSEX AIR AMBULANCE APPEAL

Over the years Burnham Week has done much to raise money for many worthy
charities, crews and visitors have been equally generous to support these causes.
The committee and sponsors felt that it was again appropriate to consolidate their
charitable commitments. Therefore Burnham Week 2017 are again adopting a charity
to focus attention on the fund raising elements of the regatta.
The Essex Air Ambulance Appeal has again been chosen as the charity for this year’s
regatta. The charity has been chosen because many visiting yachtsmen and locals
from the Essex area will be familiar with the sight of a helicopter as it flies to and from
incidents. Notwithstanding this awareness, in order to keep this very necessary
service in the air it needs as much support as we can all give to the appeal.
Fund raising activities will be going on throughout the week. Alternatively donations can
be sent to the Essex Air Ambulance Fund, Ambulance HQ, Broomfield, Chelmsford,
Essex CM1 7WS.
