7. Once In Royal David’s City
“Once in Royal David’s City Stood a lowly cattle shed Where a mother laid her baby In a manger for His bed”
The person who wrote this famous Carol was someone called Henry John Gauntlett, who composed over one thousand hymn tunes!
This is a dreamy, slightly jazzy arrangement. I’ve added a new melody in the third verse.
Top Tip: Let the new melody line really sing out!
