02 What if my doctor is not in the SOAFEETM network?
If your physician is not in the SOAFEE network we can contact them and ask if they want to join our network. However, most doctors are in the Aetna and United Health Care networks which are primarily the catastrophic plans we use. Aflac plans don’t require the use of networks.

Do the plans cover the emergency room (ER)?
What applies toward the deductible?
Yes, catastrophic plans cover ER but if not admitted there may be a $500 copay. We recommend using the Telemedicine option for minor things like fever, sore throat, earache, cough, rash etc. or going to an Urgent Care as Urgent Care copays are $75. There is also an ER benefit in the Accident and Hospital Aflac plans.
05 What if I have to go to a specialist?
Unless you have a catastrophic plan that has a $40 or $60 copay for doctor visits, everything applies to the deductible. In most cases you see a Direct Primary Care doctor for your regular 1-2 visits per year and only use the catastrophic for times you need to be hospitalized.

06 Do the plans cover maternity?
No, these plans do not cover maternity visits or delivery. We do have plans in addition to the catastrophic plan that we can put in place to cover hospital stays after delivery. The Aflac Hospital Policy would pay a benefit when admitted for delivery. Contact the SOAFEETM team for maternity solutions.
