Joining Rope 1. The ends of your rope are seldom the
same length, even though you started right
in the exact middle of the rope earlier.
Whenever you get to the end Just like this picture. I don’t know why this
of your rope, you need a nice happens, but I’ve been scratching my head
tidy way to add more rope. over it for years.
This works really well.
2. Some people want to just put a Lark’s
Head around the ends and carry on. This not
only makes it look sloppy, but the one end
that is too long doesn’t have any tension on
it, and eventually that slack will be seen in
your bondage. There is a very easy fix for this.
Take the longer end and fold it back on itself
so that the newly created loop end is exactly
the same length as the knot end. This is
why lots of rope bondage lovers like to have
knotted ends on their ropes.

Final: Slip a Lark’s Head (page 88) around
it and tighten it all down. The newly created
loop will offer enough bulk to resist the Lark’s
Head knot from pulling off.
