Keyboard Connection (ages 4-8) Katy Gibney
Through creative expression in song, rhythmic movement, and listening
experiences, enduring attitudes regarding the joy of music making and
sharing are developed. A program of the piano department for young
children, this class involves a developmentally appropriate program of
singing, moving, listening, creating, playing instruments, and responding to
visual and verbal representations of sound. Musical concepts are explored
as a means to building a sturdy foundation upon which a young child can
fearlessly explore their unique way of expressing musicality. For individuals

Percussion classes (ages 6-8) Faculty
Students use hand drums, xylophones, and other instruments to learn
fundamental percussion techniques in a fun ensemble setting, building
