Plan. And if you use mail-order refills, the plan with the lowest estimated costs in 2018 for your
drugs is the Express Scripts Medicare Saver Plan, which will be $229 less expensive than your
current plan.
You can switch to one of these lower-cost plans anytime between October 15 and December 7,
with your new coverage to be effective on January 1, 2018. In most cases your existing plan (the
Humana-Walmart Rx Plan) will transfer your current prescriptions to your new plan – although
if you change refill schedules you will need new prescriptions. Also, you do not need to disenroll
from your current plan – when you enroll in a different plan, Medicare will disenroll you from
your current plan, effective January 1.
