AREA A: Deep water area
This area is between 100 and 150 cm from the surface of the water. This is where to put baskets with aquatic plants (e.g. lotus, water lily, talia) and also equip-
ment like the pumps for filters, streams and waterfalls.
Its depth means that the water does not warm up too quickly during the summer and does not freeze during the winter so that fish can find shelter there.
AREA B: Lagooning area
This area is between 30 and 50 cm from the surface of the water. This is where to put baskets with aquatic plants and also equipment like the pumps for gargoy-
les, fountains and water jets. This area should be as wide as possible, providing space for micro-organisms and contributing to the reduction of nutrients in the
pond.

AREA C: Marsh area
This area is up to 30 cm from the surface of the water. This is where to put baskets with aquatic plants and irrigation bags and mats for landscaping a steep slope
with abundant flora and the decorative elements of the edges and banks of the pond.
