If we put these key pivotal turning points together, we
can better understand how America has arrived at the
crossroads we face today.

– The First Pivotal Turning Point

Slavery – Make no mistake, our present pains of human

strife trace back before the Civil War eras to the times
when the abominations of slavery were rampant. Books
with volumes of details have been written that

document first-hand, witnessed accounts of the
sufferings of men and women enslaved in America. We

need not attempt, nor is it feasible, to recount them
here. We can only acknowledge how such recounts

would entail countless records of unimaginable cruelties
that slaves were forced to endure in order to subdue

and control them.

There are numerous accounts from former slaves that

recall the grotesque tactics that slave masters used as a
means to break their spirits and control large numbers

of physically strong, enslaved men and women. When
one hears of such cruelties, it is deeply saddening that

such inhumanity could have existed in America for a
period of nearly 246 years, as it is also saddening that

the descendants of Abraham of Abraham were enslaved
in Egypt.
