1.3 the insured shall be responsible for the first 10% (ten percent) of claim, with a minimum of R1 000 (one thousand rand) each and every claim, as a result of damage caused by wind whilst in the open on drying installations.
2. Drying Mats and/or Drying Installations and/or Sulphur Pens in the Open
2.1 In the event of loss or damage of the insured property described in the Schedule, the Company shall pay to the Insured the value of the property at the time of the occurrence of its destruction or the amount of such damage or at its option replace or repair such property or any part thereof;
PROVIDED THAT:
1. the liability of the Company shall not exceed the sum insured stated in the Schedule
2. cover in respect of stacked drying installations shall be subject to installations being properly and firmly anchored to the ground with ropes and/or wire cables.
Reinstatement Cost – Applicable to Grapevines
In the event of loss or damage as a result of a Defined Event, excluding special perils, to the insured property described in the Schedule, the Company shall pay to the Insured the cost of reinstatement of the property;
PROVIDED THAT:
1. Reinstatement Cost
Cover in terms of this item will be limited to reinstatement cost only as defined under the heading “Definition” below.
2. Grapevines as defined is extended to include the following:
2.1 purchase of the specific grapevine or cultivars variety;
2.2 labor, transport and related costs relevant to the reinstatement of such grapevines;
2.3 removal of debris and clean-up costs;
2.4 cost of fungicides, fertilizer and insecticides including the application thereof.
Replacement Costs – Trellises
The Company will pay for loss of or damage to trellises at the insured premises; PROVIDED THAT:
1. the
trellises as defined is extended to include the following:
2. the
condition of average shall apply;
1.1 trellises including anchorage and relevant wiring;
1.2 above ground irrigation pipes and irrigation sprinklers;
1.3 removal of debris and clean-up costs;
1.4 associated labor and transport cost;
1.5 cost associated with wear and tear and gradual deterioration.
3. a first amount payable of 10% (ten percent) of claim, with a minimum of R1 000 (one thousand rand) and a maximum of R25 000 (twenty five thousand rand) will apply to each and every claim;
