1. The company will pay for loss or damage to plastic tunnels at the insured's premises described in the Schedule; PROVIDED THAT:
1. the Company shall not be liable to pay more than the value of the property and/or the percentage in terms of the age of the plastic covers. The Company, at its option, may reinstate repair or replace the property;
2. the words “wear and tear and gradual deterioration” as contained in Specific Exception 2 in terms of the Defined Events of this Section are not applicable to the trellises;
3. the condition of average shall apply;
4. a first amount payable of 10% (ten percent) of the claim, with a minimum of R1 000 (one thousand rand) and a maximum of R25 000 (twenty five thousand rand) will apply to each and every claim;
5. the insured shall be deemed to be Co-Insurer on the basis stated in the table below:

Covers and structures in terms of this Special Provision shall include:
2.1 anchorage points on structures and relevant wiring
2.2 plastic covers of similar quality and make with the width of the plastic not being less than 200 micron
2.3 removal of debris and clean-up costs
2.4 associated labor and transport cost.
3. Installation and Erection
Installation and erection of structures and plastic covers must at all times be executed in accordance with the manufacture’s standards, instructions and specifications which shall include:
3.1 the thickness of all pipes forming part of the structure may not deviate from the manufacture’s specifications or as prescribed by any engineer
3.2 pipes forming part of the structure must be anchored in concrete in accordance with specifications
3.3 wire cables and/or chains hinged over the cross beams supporting trellised products must be correctly tensioned and may not, under any circumstances, be physically fixed to such cross beams except at the end points of the tunnels.
4. Maintenance
If any openings of the tunnels insured are electronic and/or electrically controlled/operated the functioning of such controls should be tested regularly as well as being maintained in accordance with the suppliers prescribed instructions.
