Mr. Evans is one of my favorite, and best, teachers. His philosophy of “One day doesn’t determine the rest of your life; nor should one test determine your grade in a class,” is one of the best I have encountered in high school. As the Head Football Coach of the Helena High Bengals, one might think that he would have an intimidating presence; in reality, he is extremely approachable and even more helpful. He exemplifies what I want to be as an adult—someone who loves their job and pursues their passions, but most of all, someone who changes lives with their work.
