When I walked into Carol Morgan’s fifth grade class, I knew it was the place for me. Her energy forced us to engage with all subjects, especially history. Whether listening to her fantastic reading of Lois Lowry’s Number the Stars,
signing our class constitution, or reenacting the Boston Massacre with crumpled paper, we always had a hands-on activity to keep us interested in some heavy topics. Additionally, Ms. Morgan treated us all like the educated young people we were, and our class wasn’t limited strictly to daily lesson plans. Carol Morgan was everything a young student wants in an educator.
