What to Do Nearby When You Don’t Want to Travel Far:
For many of us, the pandemic has greatly impacted our ability and desire to travel. Since we are “stuck” in Colorado, I thought in this monthly column that I might suggest local places to visit which is within a reasonable driving distance. The National Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame is an excellent place to spend some quality time without breaking the bank. Locatedo I-25atExit148,RockrimmonBlvd.,ColoradoSprings. ThisCowboyHallofFameandMuseumeducates the public about rodeo, its history and impact on Western American culture, and recognizes rodeo notables of the past and present. Many displays, rotating artifacts from rodeo life, and guided tours are available. Many exhibits and collections to view and an extensive outdoor sculpture garden. Hours of operation: Monday-Sunday, 9am to 5pm. Admission: Adults $8, Seniors $7, Military $6, Youth $5, Kids under 5 are free.
