Annotations Freshmen English
More than 100 freshmen and sophomores participated in the annual High School Oratory
Competition. Nyah Ewan won First Place for her delivery of Black and Happy by Javon
Johnson; followed by Gabriela Garity '20 in Second Place and Mia Gonzalez-Llorens '19 in
Third Place.
Oratories provides Ninth and Tenth Grade students the opportunity to explore both the written
and spoken word. Students first compete in the individual classrooms, then several are selected
for the final competition held before the High School community.
