Sebastian came to work at Carrollton in September o f2007 as Senior Accountant/Controller. He was responsible for performing account analysis and reviews,
bank reconciliations, internal and external reporting and accurate financial accounting to School Management, Board of Trustees and other external agencies.
While his responsibilities were great, Sebastian was ever jovial and patient. There was great comradery with everyone with whom he worked and to cross his
path somewhere on the Barat campus meant a day was made brighter by his generous smile and genuine affection, hie was ever present at school functions from
volunteering at Celebrate to attending concerts and activities - and Feast Wishes was always something to which he looked most forward. Those who attend Fr.
Vallee's morning Masses well understand his religious devotion as he was in regular attendance.
In June 2014 a number of us had the great pleasure of attending Roots that Give Us Wings with Sebastian. Mis dedication to absorbing all he could from this
wonderful Sacred Heart experience was clear - he didn't miss a single sight or a single word. When I became ill during the trip he cared for me. And when our plane
finally took off for home after hours of delay into the bank of a violent storm, he comforted us.
In the years since Roots, every time I had the good fortune to see Sebastian he always mentioned our wonderful trip together saying, "Someday I'm going to move
to a peaceful place like St. Charles."
So every time I think of Sebastian, I think of our time at Roots, and his wings.
