Just Put Your Head Down and Swim!
The varsity team, with the junior varsity not too far
behind, ended the season with a 7-4 record this year. A
total of thirty-two girls comprised the entire swim
mm team, leaving coach Kristen Need with the option of
adding a new junior varsity team, which "... will prove
to be an asset in future years." Cristy Carriazo, Ginger
Wells, Jeanette Soto, Jennifer Miranda, Christina
Knight, Therese Rohrbeck, and Maria Cruickshank
received All Dade Honorable Mention while Renee
Soto placed on the Second Team for backstroke in the
200 medley relay. Renee Soto, in the 200 individual
medley, and Ginger Wells, in the 100 butterfly, both
qualified for state competition.
