Jordan Matter, portrait and dance
photographer, authored New York Times
bestseller Dancers Among Us. He is
known to millions for his 10 Minute Photo
Challenge You Tube Videos. During his
time with the Junior High community,
Matter spoke from the heart about the
journey he took to get where he is today.
In a poignant message to the girls, he
made sure to impart what he’d learned:
don't give up on your dreams. He spoke
about his photography sessions and
how he was able to capture incredible
Intermediate students were treated to author Ridley Pearson's new graphic novel, SuperSons! He spoke moments from famous TV and internet
about the writing process and his many series including Kingdom Keepers. stars to dancers from across the world.
As he showed images from his book, he
explained the stories that made it into
the book which brought laughter and at
the same time, the serious issue of social
media being used as a bullying tool. There
were many questions and he surprised the
girls at the end with a photo shoot of the
contest winner, Lucia Taracido. In typical
fashion, Lucia struck a dance pose reading
his new book and the entire Junior High
flanked around her to create an incredible
memory for Junior High.

Jennifer Fosberry returned to Carrollton and presented her latest book, Isabella Artist Extraordinaire,
exploring artists and their inspiration.
