This year
we celebrated the
M ass O f the Holy Spirit
on Septermber 11. The idea
behind the tra d itio n of
the M ass is to invoke the
Holy Spirit and ask for the
S pirit's gifts of wisdom,
c o u ra g e, a n d p a tie n c e
as we em bark on a new
year of learning. To know
oneself as the beloved of
God is to experience the
Holy Spirit working within
our hearts and our m inds.

say th a t God has given each of us the
spirit of courage and confidence. It is
this Spirit th a t gives us the will to work for
