Through an interdisciplinary Religion, Art, and Language
Arts project the fifth grade students created faux stained
glass windows inspired by the famous French artist, Henri
Matisse. The windows illustrated the words of St. Paul the
Eucharist and the relevance in their lives. Through their
creation of collages the girls were able to demonstrate in
their own way how we are all connected. They also wrote
stories about people being the bread of life for others. At
the conclusion of the project, the girls were ashed to see the
connection of the project to their study of the colonies and
Valentines Day, which followed the project.
