        I  spent  the  summer  with  a
    group  o f Carrollton  girls  help­
    ing  with  the  Barnyard  Program.
    Steph  and Claudia led it,  and  we
    all had such a great time. We sepa­
    rated into groups of 4 or 5, played
    games,  watched movies- like  Toy
    Story- and even made a toy out of
    a shoe box.  Also, we talked about
    different issues that the children of
    Barnyard face on a dailiy basis and
    focused  on  the  challenges,  prob­
   lems and benefits  of growing  up
   in multi<ultural Miami. I made lots
   of new friends, and the kids were
   adorableI  It  was  a  really great
   summer!
