Beaches, culture, hot sun, and rain are all fac
tors of the Miami community. In the Carrollton
community we can add to the list, masses. But
when two of these elements are combined,
                     there could be some complications.

Due to rain, this year's Mass of the Holy Spirit
was moved from the beautiful St. Hugh church
to the High School P.A.C. The rain stopped the
students from celebrating the afternoon With the
entire school, but it never stopped Carrollton
                                 from celebrating a mass.

A special moment in the mass was when a rep
resentative from each grade presented the
school with a symbolic candle. These decorated
candles served as a source of unity among each
                                                     class.

When Mrs. Hutton was asked what she thought
of the final outcome of the mass, she quoted Sr.
Taylor and said "that we really were blessed by
                                          the Holy Spirit."

"The seniors chose a rose to
        decorate their candle not only
as a memory o f our Ring Cere
mony but also as a symbol o f
        growth, something our class
        has done tremendously."
