Each of the nineteen schools which make up the Network of Sacred Heart Schools
in the United States is visited once every five years by a visiting committee sent by the
National Commission on Goals. The visiting committee, five in number, is selected
from among teachers and administrators presently working in Sacred Heart Schools.
They receive special training in observation and interviewing techniques in order to
ascertain that a school is living up to its own commitment to the goals and criteria that
help define a Sacred Heart School. This year Carrollton was visited during the week of
February 7th-11th by teachers and administrators working in schools in California,
Connecticut, Nebraska and Louisiana. We were proud to show them that though we
are one of the youngest schools in the Network, the tradition and present day reality of
Carrollton School are an authentic reflection of the educational vision of St. Madeline
                 Sophie Barat.
