Stewards of the  Earth at "The Fairchild Challenge"

        Every year Carrollton: High School students participate in the Fairchild Challenge - an award winnina  ,nt<
        competition designed to engage students of diverse interests  abilities  talents and backaro  r.ri'   ; i

        Out of 77 local high schools, Carrollton is recognized as the second top sconnq school overall  and is on
        prize of $750.00 to support and enhance environmental activities at school

       The following were recognized at the Fairchild Challenge Award Ceremony Virginia Moscetti received S
       Viewers  Choice Award First Place and a Top Ten Entry "Global, Challenge: Environmental Change," for hi
       species responds to environmental1change. The 9th Grade Honors Biology Class received Second Place

       Earth  - a long-term project in collaboration with NASA, where students experimented with factors influi
       plants for spaceflight. Presenting the project to NASA scientists at the Fairchild's Spring Garden Festival  ere
       Angplta, Alina Suarez, 0eni GiPnulis, Miranda Ortega. Alexa De Paz, Mora Guyot, Alexa Mora, Sofia Bond, and Emma Ballestas  Isa
       won First Place for her 'Research Paper: Growing Food in the Past, Present, and Future " topic -"The Columbian Bwtaiwra*
       Special Merit "Well Written Essay" for her "Research Paper: Growing Food In the Past, Present,
       The 9th Grade Biology Class won First Place in “Citizen Science  Million Orchid Project" - Fairchild’s initiative to propagate a million South FI
