The Primary School participated in a variety of community service projects throughout the year including:
Pennies for Patients, benefiting children with Leukemia and Lymphoma; Halloween costume donations
for children at Jackson Memorial Hospital; Thanksgiving donations packed in decorated bags for the Gesu
Church; a drive for Christmas gifts for the children of migrant workers in Homestead; donating dress down
dollars for Haiti; and a Third Grade bake sale for Haiti. Third Graders also participated in a field trip to
Homestead where they picked fresh fruit in migrant fields as part of a social awareness program. 49
