The drama class production of the La Danza de Las
Mascaras took place in an 18th century decorated P.A.C.
on Thursday, October 31. An array of lighthearted cre
ative costumes, that ranged from super heroes to ghost
and goblins, produced a lighthearted festive atmosphere.
As the students eagerly awaited the production, they were
entertained by Mr. Reed’s original band D oolittle. “The
music was rocking man! It was very different and not what
I expected,” said senior Roger Morales from Columbus
High School. The lights were dimmed and the minuet
began. The beautiful costumes and music that accompa
nied it, created an atmosphere that led to the illusion of an
air of reality. The pirates entered and after a sword fight
they proved to be victorious. Dance line’s performers
dressed up as skeletons symbolizing death, performed a
wonderful dance. “Mr. de los Santos did an awesome job, Above: Krishna Blanco and her date Alex Alvarez
which left me impressed for the rest of the night. I cannot the minuet
wait to attend next year’s Masquerade Ball,” says junior
Ginger Wells.
