Evoking the spirit is the theme of the 1996-1997 Yearbook. The yearbook staff selected this theme because
they believe that the school is very successful in accomplishing this goal. The teachers touch each student, evok
ing the girl’s true spirit. Many people believe that the Carrollton experience helps to make them who they truly
are.
The teachers’ goal of creating the best possible person helps to evoke the spirit of the students. They try to
accomplish this by developing the minds, souls, and bodies of their students. They provide students with the
information necessary to make informed, wise decisions. This process begins at the tender ripe age of three,
and never truly ends. The administration and alum help foster this development through school sponsored activities
and programs.
Girls leave Carrollton with not only a good education, but also as informed sense of the world around them.
The girls leave Carrollton with their minds, souls, and bodies developed so that they can become productive cit
izens.
The yearbook staff chose the following photograph to illustrate the theme because it shows that between all
Carrollton girls, there is a common thread. That thread is that Carrollton has evoked their spirit.
