Beanie Breathing
▪ Young children (and even older children with attention
difficulties), can find meditation and mindful activities really
hard.
▪ It can help to have specific props to help focus. For young
children, ‘Beanie Breathing’ can really help.
▪ The child places the beanie on their stomach
and holds the candle in one hand and the
flower in the other.
▪ He or she smells the flower for 5 seconds
then blows out the candle for 5 seconds.
▪ The child focuses on his Beanie friend going
up and down on her / his stomach.
